Desperate How to get to Oz

Hi,
I have currently applied for a SS 475 visa and now been told have to wait until 2012 to maybe get looked at,. This is really upsetting, is there any other possible way to get out there?

I am an Office Manager 29, my partner a Telecomms engineer for BT 29.
We cannot find a way to get to Oz, without having to wait.

Is there anything else I can do? Maybe change career? Not sure what though,

I have tried to see about employer sponsor but all jobs say you have to have residency before applying for any position.

It is very depressing, when we are so determined to move to Australia.

Any help/advice is most most welcome.

Have you lookd in to a working visa.
Do not know much about these personly but check them out.

Could try for skilled PR visa? takes approx 9 - 12 months not sure of the criteria though, could also try a migration agent and explore there knowledge about the oppertunities open too you

I would contact various migration agents and ask the question, don't just ask one of them, sometimes they give different answers.

But we all have to wait at some point.

We have our visa, and validated it, now we have to wait till we have enough money to make the move. :(

But it will happen eventually. :)

not sure what advice to offer you, but just wanted to say I completely sympathise with you. I have been desperate to emigrate since I my early twenties. OH never been ready...but I have finally ground him down enough to the point where he is really excited about it! ;) Im 32 now!
Hang in there, it will happen. If there isnt a quicker route, lodge it and see what happens. Some people on here have had theirs come through a lot quicker than they thought.
