Private health insurance - any recommendations

As I will be bringing the family over on a 457, we will need health insurance. We're not a sickly bunch, so a hospital plan will do

Hi,

We are coming to Adelaide on a 457 visa. We got our health insurance with bupa.

Health Cover Australia & Private Health Insurance for Overseas Visitors - Mutual Community Health Insurance

Bupa, wrote a letter confirming that we have paid the first month from day 1 entry into Australia and started their program. Without this cover our visa in not valid.

Hiya

We are with Mutual Community who are pretty good, but always ring around the big companies like Medibank Private, Mutual Community, NIB, HBF and the like as they always have different deals going!

I'm sure as well that others on this site can recommend other places to check out!!

Definitely DO NOT use Mutual Community - if you ever have a claim it will takes months to get your money back and you'll spend hours on the phone to even get to that point
