Hiya and welcome to PIA Kiltedscot.
Flagstaff Hill and the surrounds are nice suburbs ,popular with settling Poms too.
Do visit all of the schools locally, even a few miles away.
Some are getting quite full now and there is talk of bringing in the catchment area scheme.

Hi and welcome KiltedScots
We have been in ADL just over a week now so still very new and still in holiday mode, we also have boys of 14 and 11 so know where you're coming from:notworthy:
We have spent the past week driving all over South Adelaide looking for a long term rental, going to the open houses and generally getting a feel for the place and have found somewhere nice to rent in Hallett Cove (fingers crossed)
The schools are getting full just as Tyke says and the HC R-12 is only taking kids from the HC catchment area and Woodcroft College said they may have a space for our oldest in January :nah: so the search goes on. Our two have not been in school since July so really need to get them in somewhere though its a two week half term here as of yesterday so thats going to have to wait until the new term starts.
Be great to meet up with you when you arrive, if you PM us I'll give your our hotmail addie and I'll pass on any tips we can.
Take care and welcome to your new life
:)

You've come to the right place. I personally can't help as like you I'm still in the wrong hemisphere but there are loads of helpful people over there that will help. Just wanted to say "hi".
