Would anyone recommend obtaining references from our Mortgage Company for use in Oz, what about "no claims discount", etc on insurances (car, contents)?

You can use your no claims letter here as proof so can continue your no claims bonus on your car so definitely bring that :cute:

Not so sure on the mortgage one, only thing we have ever needed here is bank statements if needed for anything financial :)

Character references are worth getting hold of if you are planning on renting for a while when you get here.

get references from anyone you can think of. Always a good one is people with standing within the community who have visited your house (for renting somewhere when you arrive) - for example if you owned your home, if you know a teacher, police man - get them to type something out to say they visited your home and it was always keep clean and tidy. Our rental agent was very impressed with that ..... for our 12 month rental that it.
We got statements from mortgage company so that it could be seen that it had been paid ontime - you know the yearly ones?
