How lucky are you guys ! I've been full of cold, sweating with a flu like infection & feeling rather sorry for myself (aahhh) ...............40 degrees sounds like a blessing, a tad hot but with air con we will hopefully survive

Its better today (Sunday) not as wet & there is a glimpse of the sun but its chilly although mild for Jan in the UK

Look forward to sharing some of that sunshine 8)

It has ben beautifull in SE London / KEnt for the last couple of days - been able to take the kids to the park (thank God - it IS half term andI might just commit murder if I had to stay in all day)
Really looking forward to spending more time outside and feeling the sun on my face
jealous as hell!!

Yesterday I went outside to hang the washing out and could smell something but couldn't put my finger on it then I noticed that the cushions on out outdoor furniture had been scorched by the heat, they now look really dirty but we never gave it a thought that the sun might actually damage the cushions.

Funny you should say that Di as I have an aussie friend who wont hang out her washing in 40 degree heat as she says it will burn! At first I thought what a stupid thing to think! But maybe its true!
