Need help now with Skype!!

Ah, the ongoing saga of the webcam.... OK, here's my next problem. I've downloaded Skype, I can make calls and I can see my dear old mother - but she can't see me. At the bottom of my screen I have the message "Outgoing video error. Skype did not find preferred video source. Webcam could be in use by another application." Eh?:wacko: What does it mean and how do I fix it????

Have you got a scanner connected this may be your default rather than camera, if not unload the webcam and reload it.

Many thanks to those of you who gave me tips and solutions for this ****ing webcam, it gives me great pleasure to announce that we are up and running and both dear old mother and myself are able to see each other (which is no good thing when it's 11.00 at night, you're in your jammies and you've had too much cab sav....):biglaugh::biglaugh: Thanks again everyone!
