Now then, Guzzler and I met up with Dean and Claire whilst here on a reccie a few nights ago - lovely couple, great evening. But we all got chatting (after we had found each other!) and decided we should put it to the vote ......

How do we identify each other when meeting face to face for the first time? Obviously listen out for accents, but should we introduce a secret hand shake? Have a copy of the 'tiser under one arm? Wear Union Jack/Ozzie bandanas? Pink carnation (no idea about how quick they would wilt in the heat though) .... your thoughts please?

Or should someone start get t-shirts printed up?

This happened to us last xmas at a expats meet in manchester!! we was walking around for 1hr in a crowded pub looking for anything australian. Just as we was leaving we seen another couple looking around just like we was looking confused.we got to the meet in the end as someone spotted all four of us looking confused.

How about a plastic wristband with PIA embossed lettering changing gradually from the Union Jack to the lovely spangly stars (fits all sizes) and the proceeds go towards an annual PIA wine tasting day get together or (Gra's suggestion:p) a Flaming Galahs golf day ?!!! :err:
