Hi All
Just found this forum - its great for me to get another fix of adelaide!
Im Sarah, married to Chris(IT manager) we have 2 girls, Molly and Phoebe ages 9 & 6. We are going to Adelaide on a SIR495.......like others, it was our only choice because of our lack of points. But if I honestly could go anywhere - it would still be Adelaide.
I travelled all around OZ in my 20s so feel that I know a little bit about the place and I just love the ozzzy people and their relaxed attitude.... Chris and I went to Sydney 5 years ago on our honeymoon and wanted to migrate when we came home, but didnt think we had enough points (dont think we really looked into it properly) But this year we decided to have another look and we can scrape in! FAB!!
It took us ages to get all the stuff togeother for the Vetasses assesment as me and hubby are very disorganised and has lost birth certificates and degree certificates, our passports had been damaged so had to sent off for replacements, which took ages and very costly!!
It feels like we're walking through treacle getting through this process!! everything has taken so much longer. We sent our SA application 4 weeks ago and havent heard - it bugs me when I read others that get a response in 2 weeks or 10 days!!! But, suppose we all have to hang in there...
We put our house on the market the week after we applied to Vetasses (4 months ago or thereabouts) we havent had any luck yet and have dropped to price already - we do need to sell our house to give the £40k bond. So fingers crossed.
Looking forward to speaking to you all again soon!
