Haven't been on for a long time but as we get nearer to going keep having thoughts that i hope someone can help with. Will a laptop bought in the UK work in Oz????

i took my laptop to oz in 2006 i had no probs with it working of coarse i had no net but the power is the same i just used a travel adaptor to power laptop up

My laptop works fine here, got an adapter for the plug though.

Yep, bring it by all means. In fact it's an essential piece of equipment for when you first get here, you can contact friends and family, look for properties, jobs etc. If you join your nearest library when you get here, you can use their wi-fi free of charge!:D

Yes bring it, we did our (ACER) laptop, the library's are fab with WIFI, I thinks its a 'must' if you have one already.
