Hi

can anyone recommend a good car insurance company . will be coming out in April will rent a car for a month or so first then look to buy .

Anyone got a Toyota Yaris as we are thinking of buying one:wubclub:

I havent got one but my friend has and she loves it says its a good little car.
Dont know if that any help

We've got both cars and the house insured with Allianz - they were the cheapest of the lot that I called!

I can second that with Allianz.

I just phoned around though and you may get a better deal with AAMI, RAA, SGIC etc.

ps. do you know is it a post office like here in england where you go to get car tax or does it not work like that ?

It's different here. You need to go to the Vehicle licencing offices to get the Registration - the equivilant of car tax. It's the same place to go to get your licence. Prepare to wait though as there is always a queue to get seen, sometimes out of the door. However, once you've registered the car and got the licence you can renew them on line. It's the red from to transfer your UK licence to an SA one.
