hi
hiring a car from airport for duration of stay. got loads to do/see. does anyone think its worthwhile to get sat nav in our hire car if poss or is adelaide easy enough to get around with a good old fashioned map?

Hi again jeannie, weve just got a tomtom sat nav of ebay with maps of australia loaded on to it. Thought o sat nav would be a safe bet but will still have one of them map things to back it up, from what im told its fairly easy to nav round !!

Looking at a map of Adelaide and the surrounding suburbs it looks straight forward enough. I would have thought a good map would be all you need.

I really wouldn't bother with the extra expense.
It's so easy to get around and generally you get a UBD in every hire car. If there isn't one ask on the desk.
The UBD is a very thorough map of the city and spreads out as far as Victor Harbour and up beyond the Barossa.

Not a silly question at all .....
It is pretty straight forward finding your way around the city and the suburbs - but obviously then it is a question of who drives and who navigates ......
