Hi there,

I bet this question as been asked a zillion times but I can't find a recent thread on it.

I'm thinking of treating myself to a decent sound system but I wouldn't like to part with my cash if I thought it wouldn't work in Australia. I've heard that only tv's don't work (different signal). Does everything else electrical work ok? Fridges / Freezers, DVD players etc etc.

Hi

We were told that most other things work your're tv will work i believe if you have a top set box or chipped.

You're fridge freezer will work but will have to work twice as hard as the fan system is designed for colder climes and will therefore burn out quicker.

Think the above is correct it's what we were told by our removal company.
