hi all can anyone in the nursing community in adelaide let me know just how many weeks off a year they get.in the uk i get 7 weeks a year:wubclub:

Hi,
if you work a roster that rotates over 7 days you willget 6 weeks. If you are rostered over 5 days, eg you work mon - fri you get 4 weeks.

hi - i get 7 weeks too but also i would just like to know if shifts are roughly the same e.g 8 - 5 or 12 - 9, and do they have extortionate rates for staff parking as we have here?

From what i remember about anaesthetic nursing, the shifts you mentioned will probably be comparable as you follow theatre times. Ward nursing shifts are 7 - 3.30, 1-9.30,9-730 If you work somewhere that does 12 hr shifts then 7-7.30 and 7-7.30 hahaha
