Passports

Can anyone advise me on our passports. Mine and the childrens passports run out in April 09. We are hoping to be out in Adelaide by October 07. Our agency said not to bother renewing them now wait until they run out and re-new them in Australia. I was wondering how difficult or easy this would be? :? :? :? :? Thanks in advance, Lorna.

I have seen others renew their passports before going as it seems easier and cheaper to renew in the uk. You can carry 9 months onto the new one so would not lose the 2 years you have left completely.
