Medicare Enrolment....

Hey all,

Was just going through the details of medicare enrolment...the form asks for ID (eg passport) and 2 forms of ID with address.

How do you get the 2 for the address if you have only just arrived?

Hi,

When/if you move into a rental long or short term you should get a rental agreement straight away and secondly when you open a bank account they will send you correspondence pretty quick.
You don't need to enrol straight away and usually best to give it a week for your details of immigration to hit their system.

Ah.....thats ok then!! Was hoping the bank would be quick!!

Hi,
when we opened an account with westpac the printed of a welcome letter and handed it to us straight away, this was useful for a few things, I registered with medicare on day 2, by day 3 I was ill, day 4 was using medicare!:)
