If you are heading out to the Barossa via Gawler, take a small detour at Williamstown and visit this, it's well sign posted. It's actually the large curved dam wall of the Barossa resevoir, but because of it's perfect shape with nothing to break up the sound waves you can hear what other people are whispering to you at the other end of the dam wall. It's also a pretty place as the land around it is a reserve. There is a walk way across the top of the dam.

We stopped off there on our way to Barossa, it is good

While we drove up through the area we went through HumBug Scrub (what a name!!) and while driving we turned a corner to be confronted by an emu running down the road towards us!! :shocked:

we visited the wall whilst staying with friends,put the whispering to the test, it is unreal or someone was having us over !!! Kids enjoyed it too!!. :)
also stayed in the Novotel in the barossa , had a wonderful time, after sampling wine allday, at many places, HAPPY DAYS hope to be back very soon. wayne n louise :)

This sounds great and the kids would have a great time!!
I think this will be another day out added to our already ever expanding list.
