Hi Jon and Sarah

Hope you manage to sell your things. I am curious however as to why you are returning to the uk as it not been to your liking if not why and how long you been out there. This is only the second thread I've seen on here where someone is intending to come back compared to reading other forums. I think its because the majority of members on here are on with trying to get there while on other forums most are already there

Hi Jon and Sarah
First of all i wish you the best of luck and hope it all works out for you with your move back to the UK!
I see that you only left the UK last September so without sounding nosy why are you moving back to the UK? (Unless it's personal of course)
Such a huge move in the beginning and all that stress and planning to get there in the first place!
But if the move to Adelaide is not right for you both then i take my hat off to you and have admiration for you deciding to return back to the UK!
When still on this side desperatley trying to sell a house (and hoping to pass medicals tomorrow)and with 4 young kids to consider in this life change then when you hear of it not working out for somebody and they are returning already to the UK then it obviously gets the "wobbles" setting in again!

Anyway good luck guys wish you well and hope you find what you are looking for on your return!

It happens to so many people. They think the grass will be greener over here. They arrive, struggle to get jobs and the rose tinted glasses suddenly becomes reality. It does happen. We all get homesick. It takes about 2 years to settle. If you can get through 2 years and then decide it's not for you then in my opinion, you have given it a good go.

I came over to Adelaide to be with the one I love, if I didn't like it then it was tough titties. I came over with no money, visa work conditions and lived in a pokey 2 bedroom flat with no air conditioning or heating in an undesirable area. I look back and think, wow I really must have loved Jon to put up with all that. I talk to the folks back home and I know I've made the right decision. I now have a mortgage on a 3 bedroomed house and have a great paying job. I would never have those back in England.

Anyways, good luck Jon and Sarah. I hope you find what you are looking for.

Hi Jon and Sarah,
Sad to hear you're leaving-I can imagine you have loads to organise and have your hands full-but if you posted something about your journey to your new start in Oz it would be immensely helpful to everyone not there yet. Have you considered at all moving interstate?

Hi Sarah, we may be interested in the fridge/freezer that you have for sale if it is still available.
What size and colour is it?
Many thanks
