Hi Everyone,
Just a bit off advice needed, we have just bought our first car over here and are interested in getting it coverted to LPG gas, have heard it costs around $2300 but then you get a rebate back from the goverment! is this true?? has anyone already done this who can recommend any garages to use, we are currently in morphett vale but will be living in seaford rise..
Thanks for any info

Hi,
Cost will depend on type of car and currently you get a $2000 rebate although there is talk of the current goverment stopping this early( originally a 7 year plan in 2006),
I used Mark Walker Autogas in Aldershot Road Lonsdale 8326 0977, good job no complaints,

:err:Ours is being done at the moment , GET quotes the price difference is huge we got from $3,000 to $5,000 so check . Also through asking lots of questions there are different systems hense the price difference . The newer system is more reliable and gives better fuel economy but does cost more , you want at least 3 years warranty from whoever you use .......ask lots of questions so you can find our which system you are being quoted for . Yes there is a $2,000 rebate from the government which the garage can help with . Cheers Graham

I've been told that the rebate for a gas job will end this financial year, i.e. June 30th, so it might pay you to get in there quick.
Gra, did you confirm this with the garage?
