Card and Gift ideas to send to family/friends in the UK

Since we emigrated we have used the 2 companies based in the UK quite a lot and would recommend them.

Yoodoo is great to send various cards (very useful on Mothers and Fathers Day as they are on different days over here) and you can add photos and personalise the card and it helps people know you have not forgot about them.

We also use Flowercard based in the Channel Islands to send flower cards to our friends and family. We sent one yesterday to our friend who is getting married on Saturday. The cards are great and an original idea and a different take on sending flowers.

This was a problem when it was coming up to fathers day in the UK last month. We forgot actually until Andy & Lindsey posted it on a new thread. This brought about many other companies who do the same thing.

We used a recommended website namely www.moonpig.com (http://www.moonpig.com) my dad and father-in-law were delighted by their cards. We have since used them again for birthdays, today and towards the end of the month and added flowers to the order as well as a personalised card. I really like this company now as you can set up reminders for a couple of weeks in advance, that way there is no excuse of forgetting.

But, great idea to advise others of more companies, I will certainly be taking a look at it, as it is my father-in-laws birthday and don't think he would appreciate flowers!
