Hi there, your house is stunning, but like so many other admirers we are stuck in UK! We are coming over in two weeks on holiday. Just curious is that a nice area? We would not have thought to look that way, as so many Brits seem to be down South. The street view looks so nice, everything we are looking for. Is it family friendly, safe, good schools etc? Good luck with sale. we would definately have been very interested:)

Craigmore is an up and coming area. Its in the North East suburbs, cheaper than Golden Grove and Greenwith. There are 2 schools close within walking distance to the house. Playford Primary which is state and Catherine McCauley which is private. I think IanB has his kids there so would be able to offer you more information. There is also a Kindergarten opposite the schools. The high School is Craigmore High which I'm not to sure about. I can't find any bad press about it anyway. Its a very nice estate, all newer houses and lots of parks and grasslands for the kids, there is a little local shopping area just down the road and Craigmore Shoppping centre is 5 minutes away. There are 2 great shopping centres Munno Para and Elizabeth within 5 minutes driving, both these centres are very big and have everything you could wish for there.

Its about a 45 - 50 minute drive to the City depending on time of day and traffic and the closest beach is Semaphore roughly 40 minutes away. Gawler is about 10 minutes drive further north and the Barossa Valley roughly 45 minutes beyond that. Its very close to the Adelaide Hills and it really feels like you are on the edge of living in the country.

I think the only downside could be the distance from the City but you could easily catch the train at Smithfield to the City. Some people don't like Craigmore because Elizabeth and some of the poorer suburbs are close by but Craigmore is a lovely suburb to live in.
