Hi each,
just a quick one! I have bribed my eldest, James with driving lessons to go to Oz; any ideas who, how much and how long this will take to organise?
Much appreciated

seems to be standard $50ish for an hour. It's usually just a matter of ringing up and booking. There are lots of instructors here. If he is at school, you can arrange for the instructor to pick up from school and have the driving lesson on the way home from school, or in recerse in the morning.

Hi Jane, my hubby Steve is a driving instructor but we are not moving out to Adelaide until March next year, but we have been doing some researching and as Kris says the average price seems to be $50 for 1 hour. Hope you find someone soon.

Is it true that you do not have to sit a test at the end of your lessons.

There are two methods. One is logbook, where you practice until perefect and then you get that skill signed off. Once you have everything signed off and you have 50 hours of driving under your belt, 10 of which have to be at night , you get your licence. The other methd is to take the test, but you still have to have done your hours.

Jane:wubclub:I would be very careful bringinging an older teen here , if hes not really into the move. I think it is the most difficult age group to settle here ..............unless you have a plan. i.e ..go back to school or uni or apprenticeship (sp).
