Site Managers

Hi all,

Can any body already there or with a bit of information let me know about working in and around Adelaide for construction site managers?

Have seen various posts about qualifications for trades people and I am wondering about site managers. Also if any body knows of any web sites or links to look at. I have looked through the local job pages etc so starting to get an idea of wages etc.

Hi Ian

I just had a quick look at yesterday's Advertiser for site manager jobs and there wasn't really anything. I also had a look at Hays website and nothing much there, which is strange as there is tons of work going on in the Central Business District (CBD) and loads more planned. There is also a big drain on people heading west to feed the mining boom.

There seem to be a lot of site managers jobs on www.seek.com.au (http://www.seek.com.au) , maybe for that position it is worth contacting employers directly. One of the site managers I work with in the UK is Australian, has worked all over Australia as site manager and has no qulifications, he has been here for nearly 8 years so things may have changed.
