How long did your shipping ACTUALLY take?

Hi all

We are really to the wire with when we can arrive in Adelaide, packing the house up w/c 9 July and our stuff will be on its way. It's likely we can't arrive until at least 12th August, we are very aware that we then have to find a house very quickly in time for all our stuff in its 40ft container arriving.

My question is, for those of you who have already done it, is how long does it actually take, not what the quote, the reality. We do of course realise that the law of the sod being as it is, ours will be there in superquick time as we would welcome delays!

Our stuff left our flat in Glasgow on Jan 4th and was delivered to new place in Adelaide on March 19th!

Hi there, from our own experience & knowldege of others who have made the trip, stuff will take 6 weeks to get to your door step. :) Happy packing! There is always ikea here if you need a sofa bed too.:eek: Sarah

Ours was exactly 8 weeks door to door including 2 weeks in quarantine :o They had quoted 8 - 12 so we were pleased it was 8 rather than 12 :)
