On channel 9 news this morning something quickly mentioned about Canberra lowering the skilled working visa intake by 20%.

 

It was very brief, and did not mention if this was on top of the current reduction.

 

Anyone know more about this?

I heard they were lowering it by 7000 taking the total figure with the last cut of 18500 to 25000. A total cut of 20% - but this figure is still higher

skilled migration intake than in recent years.

THE INTAKE IS NOW 108,000 - the same as it was 2 years ago.

So no need for anyone to panic yet.
