Hi, please can you tell me which map/maps you would recommend us buying whilst visiting South Australia in August? I have had a look on various websites and dont know how good the maps are or arent!

We need something to help us find places, one which shows places of interests and tourist attractions etc. We will be visiting Brighton, Adelaide, Glenelg, Adelaide Hills, Christies Beach area, other places, but not sure if one can do, or several must be bought. Ideally one would be great, but maybe this isnt possible.

$20 will buy you the UBD? book. It gives all the streets in alphabetical order, for most of the ares you are talking about. Priceless to have in the car with you, especially when your Sat Nav doesn't know where it is going!!!! Can buy them at most petrol stations, and lots of other outlets.

sat nav card of ebay uk worked well, but you do need to know the suburbs, which may sound easy but put a few common name roads in and then watch what i mean, number 13 north road could send you anywhere! But once mastered they are a life saver, you just have to trust it. Driving using a sat Nav is not good if your here for a while, you don't pick up the land marks, you just watch the screen.

Just go to the South Australian Tourist office, all the maps there are free. The staff there will be able to help you, and advise which maps you will need depending on where you want to go.
