Unfortunately, I think it might be. I read this morning that the weather bureau was about to re-issue it's April statement about the BBQ summer, as it made a mistake.

Sorry couldn't give you any better news.

Cheers, Kazza

The weather here in the UK is an absolute "DISGRACE"....I have 4 kids off for the "summer holidays" AND THEY ARE BORED STIFF!!

So hard to keep them entertained with the "good old British weather" against you each day!!!

Yes, it has rained quite a bit since we arrived nearly two weeks ago, but it is still lovely and warm with sunny spells here and there. It is beautiful and sunny right now at 10am and Sunday looks like being a hot 23!!

This is the third summer running that the weather has been terrible. :arghh:

Apparantly it is because the gulf stream has shifted and instead of being way north of the British Isles it has moved south and is on top of us. The warmer weather is therefore stuck to the south of it over Europe. We used to eat out in the garden a lot, enjoy a glass of wine on a summer's evening after the kids had gone to bed, but the last few years have been so awful we have been stuck indoors!!:arghh:

Thank god we are going to Italy in a couple of weeks time. We went there at May half term and had a week of 30 plus temperatures, and it is currently in the low 30's now. Can't wait....

It's sad when you have to go abroad to get a summer.

The weather has been really good here in Lincoln apart from one week when it rained on and off. Even if it isn't sunny it has still been warm and nights have been really muggy.
