Got the phone call this morning

 

VISA GRANTED

 

WHOOOOOOPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Only problem(if you can call it that) is we have to be in SA before 24December:arghh:

 

No Christmas with the family.

 

Anyone know of some cheap flights?

 

Two weeks from case officer to granted!

Hi big congrats,

we are in the same boat flying out on the 9th Jan so going at one of the most expensive times we went on NETFLIGHTS.COM and booked, flying with Qantas.

Congratulations!! Why do you have to activate the visa so soon? I thought it was the norm to get a year to activate it??

We did our meds and pc checks last December.

 

Agent told us to have them done at that time but we have only just got the visa.

 

Oh well its the front loading game i suppose.

Congratulations!! We are flying out on Nov 4th with Singapore Airlines! We booked our flights through Thomas Cook and they faxed them a copy of our visas and we were able to get migration flights which has given us 40kg of baggage allowance each, which is a real bonus!!

SIA are always pretty good to be honest, and QUANTAS are not bad either, but given the choice i would always fly SIA...

Fantastic!! See you on the sunny side guys! Singapore Air are great, not necessarily cheap, but fantastic with the kids too! The Manchester flight with the 18 hr stop at Singapore worked really well for us, we booked the transit hotel at £45 per block of 6 hrs so £135 in all for the 3 of us to sleep, shower etc. Well worth it!
