UK numbers starting 0845 / 0870

Can anyone tell me if you can dial the above numbers from SA?

You can dial these numbers just dial 001144 then miss the first 0. We've had to do it a few times for one thing or another. There is a thing on skype too which gives you an alternative direct number instead of the 0845 number, but i'm not sure how to get that on as I don't pay for calls through skype.

Just google 'say no to 0845 numbers' and you will find a site that give you geographical alternative numbers to ring. Same with 0870's.

Don't phone them direct - it costs a fortune! Get the alternative number or use a phone card - been there and done that!
