Yipeee....ive got a job!

Hey All

 

Just had to share that ive just had the phone call to say ive got a job - yipee

 

I was so nervous about geting a job as people say its not what you know here but who you know and also my qualifications are not recognised here etc. But im thrilled that Ive been offered this really cool job in the city and start in 2 weeks time.

 

My only problem now is childcare as im told osh is full. Any ideas on what else I can try? Only got 2 weeks to sort it out

A friend at work uses City West Childcare and has nothing but good things to say about it. I think they only take up to age 5 though.

There is a BRILLIANT child care at TAFE SA Port Adelaide. The girls there are wonderful, dont know if it is en route for you though!

I had a job in the city too (Uni of Adelaide), but resigned as childcare costs were almost as much as my net salary- make sure you get somewhere where you can do salary sacrifice or at least it's approved child care- that way if you keep the receipts you can claim half up to a year prior to you gaining PR
