Hey all, just had a call from bbc letting us know our wanted down under programme filmed in Adelaide will be on 4th January 2011. Not sure how we are going to react watching it as we are still in uk.(no thanks to the recession:arghh:)

Filmed last feb when the weather was beautiful in Adelaide, we made our decision to move to Adelaide on the programme because of what we saw, the people we met and the beaches were amazing, everything we was hoping for. Unfortunatly because of the on going financial downslide in the UK ,and the exchange rate so poor, we are still in snowy Kent UK. We are staying optimistic though.

Just watching the programme. Hope the exchange rate improves - we're off to adelaide for a 7 week holiday next week!

Just watched it, was brill. Your a lovely family, we are moving hopefully in Feb. Our older kids are 19 and 17, similar to yours. Thats my only concern whether its busy enough for them, did yours like it??/

When do you hope to make the move? Have you managed to sell the house yet??

Intrigued to know where house number three was! Looked amazing and prices in Adelaide aren't rising too much either. Do hope you can live the dream soon.

 

We hope to get our CPV Visas (takes 22-24 months in all) at the end of this year and hope to be away by spring 2012. Do hope you manage to get there before we do - $ is up a bit today!

Hi, sat and watched the program this morning as moving to oz is something we want to do, suddenly realised that we live a few roads from u guys on the other side of the estate! Are u still in cold wet here bay? Will say hi if I bump in to u... :-)

hi andylynnchriskirst watched you guys on wanted downunder hope you make the move, i hoping to go next year when visa granted witing 8 months now, im a solid plasterer moving from n ireland with family,i have friend in s aus 17 years plastering and informs me that you can make really good money on grip so if the same applies to your trade no need to worry about shortfall in income.

Thank you for the lovely comments , the hallet cove house was everything we dreamed about, the guy in the house wanted a very quick sale, that was last feb, would move to Adelaide tomorrow ,if only i could sell the business.

hi

 

the programme was great,, we went to look at that house and fell in love with it but it had white ants in the roof trusses of the garage so took a long time to sell. It did sell about 6 weeks ago but will need alot of work on the garage roof and gaud knows where they have spread too,, so in the long run that house wasnt meant to be eh,, good luck with moving over, it will happen, it took us 4 years from when we got our visa and you think it will never happen but if you really want it then it wil, good luck

Dont give up hope - we have just moved to Adelaide on the 1st Jan 2011 - what a great way to start the New Year.

 

We have also been caught up in the UK's financial situation and been held up for a year in our plans to move, but having come over for a couple of visits we had the bug and took a chance and let our property in Sevenoaks, Kent.

 

Wish you all the best and hopefully we might meet up soon 'Down Under'.

 

Not sure how we can get to see the latest series on the BBC as we have not hooked up to FoxTel yet - if anyone can help let us know.:jiggy:
