ASPC update for 13th november!

As of 13 November 2007 the ASPC Admin Section is processing applications as

follows:

 

Onshore Applications: receipting and acknowledging applications received on

12 November 2007.

 

Offshore Applications received after 1 September 2007: receipting and

acknowledging applications received on 12 November 2007.

 

Offshore Applications received prior to 1 September 2007*: receipting

applications received on 8 August 2007 and acknowledging applications

received on 27 July 2007.

 

* Applicants and representatives who have not authorised e-mail

communication will not receive separate advice that the ASPC has received

and receipted an application and will receive the standard acknowledgement

letter and receipt details in due course.

 

Please note that any delay in acknowledging an application does not affect

the date on which a valid application is recorded as having been received

and does not delay processing of the application.

 

Once an application has been acknowledged it will be allocated to a case

officer for further assessment as soon as possible, however, the ASPC

receives a large number of applications and you will not be contacted

immediately.

eSIR (on-line) applications: 22 July 2007

 

New Zealand Citizen (Residence) - Class DB visas

 

All applications: all applications are now allocated to case officers

 

Skilled Migration visas - All paper based applications for Class BN, BQ,

BR, UX and UZ visas

(Subclasses 134, 136, 137, 138, 139, 495 and 496): 15 January 2007

why hasn't my application been receipted and cc debited yet? sent on the 2nd august not that i'm getting impatient now.the wait is driving me

we are in the same position as you, we sent ours on the 3rd August!!!

What class visa have you applied for? We are on a 136, and according to the aspc 136 applications from january are only just getting case officers, so i think its looking like late 2008 - early 2009 for us!!!

Hi Kath,

 

I'm getting demented now! I phoned my agent today to find out what was happening and was advised that the update given by aspc is just a generalisation and not applicable to all cases.

 

Seemingly because the election is coming up, there is no overtime for government workers (visa people included in this) as they don't want to be seen signing off big cheques, also with all the changes that were made on 1st september, the staff have to be trained up on the changes, which means taking them off their normal duties (giving me my visa!) to get up to speed with the new procedures.

 

Again, was told "Just be patient, you will be the first to know when things have progressed with your application".

 

I'm going to end up being an alcoholic by the time I get it through

hello, we are applying for a 136 modl too. hairdresser is my occupation.have you checked out british expats. june/july applicants are getting case officers so there is hope for us yet.:unsure:our pcc runs out end of june so it better be b4 then:arghh:

my agent said that pre acks /notifications are usually going through in about 3.5 months from other applicants she has put through so soon we will be skint.

 

we can only hope and be very good till santa comes:)
