Its very pretty, rains quite a bit, alcohol is very expensive,£50 we spent one afternoon on 6 bottles of Corona!!! Advised that alcohol is much cheaper in the coffee shops (when we returned)

Stayed at the Mirramar hotel which was good.

You can drink the water.

Go to Raffles and Clarke quay, also lots of river boat trips, plenty to do.

I love Singapore! Agree with all thats been mentioned and also the night market in Chinatown is well worth a visit. Kampong Glam, the old Malay quarter is also lovely with all the beautiful old buildings. The Blue Ginger restaurant in Tanjong Pagar is fabulous. Enjoy!

Yes,you need to book your accomodation through them then you get a book of vouchers to use while you are there. We got a free river cruise, free tea and toast at a cafe every morning,50% off food in the hotel, free entry to the zoo etc...

Thanks - too late now! But that's ok.

Hmmm, looking at these cruises and wondering if morning or dinner would be better. Is there a nice skyline at night?

We did the morning one and it was lovely.we have friends that did the dinner one and they said the same.we were only there 2 nights and didn't really venture out at night as it seemed to rain so much when it went dark.

If u are flying singapore airlines, your boarding pass gets you some discounts even if you haven't booked a package with them.

Go to Mustafa centre in Little India where you can shop 24 hrs and they sell a bit of everything and anything, the sari shop in the basement is worth a look. You leave your bags outside with a clerk.
