hey i think i understand what you mean by you didnt fall in love with the place. my opion is that adelaide has things to offer like anywhere else in australia or the world. but bearing in mind everyone likes different things and when people emigrate here they are looking for new/different things. when we watched programs with australia on back in the uk and had a dream we loved the tropical look etc . we traveled for 5 months on arrival with the kids and saw quite a bit of the country and why we are currently living in sa and myself and the kids have settled made lots of friends and have heaps to do my husband finds it hard also it isnt the tropical australia we saw on the tv!!! i do believe i found that though in queensland which we did have a 2 year plan to move there but now arte thinking is it a good idea with the weather lol but queenslanders all pull together and get over that so i still have that as a dream. i really really think you need to visit other places if you have the oppertunity to decide where suits you. adelaide isnt for everyone but australia is a big place and has heaps to offer. i think its very hard to judge a place even those who come on this site and say im going back to the uk australia wasnt for us and they lived in one suburb of sa and never visit anywhere else very strange its like saying idont like europe because they lived in manchester!!! oh well i guess only you can decide if it will work for you there is lots to do and good for kids and i have 4 so i know! but it is behind but sometimes i like that!!!
