Weather in october ?????

We are thinking of having a recci trip over in October..... being realistic, would the weather be anywhere near warm enough to use UNHEATED swimming pools on a Holiday Rental??

You would definitely NOT be able to use an unheated pool in October.... Even though the weather can be lovely and sunny in October it wouldnt be warm enough for an unheated pool.

Hi there,

We have a pool and I agree...October is too cold. You would be surprised by what kids will tolerate though! Last year we had guests who insisted that the pool cover and net had to come off at the beginning of October and their kids were swimming. Not my idea of fun though even with a wetsuit!

The sea would probably be warmer!!! LOL

 

If youve got kids you may want to venture for a paddle in the sea instead as the weather can be nice and sunny but still on the cool side, you would probably find it warmer than the locals though...

Good luck with the reccie we tried to have a visit last xmas but all the snow at heathrow cancelled that plan.

To be honest though I am not to bothered now as our visa came through about 13 weeks later and saved me around £7000.

We have around 12 weeks to go now before we make the move most things seem to have been sorted out

just my daughters passport to renew and send to diac then just about complete.

Just double check that the pool is UNHEATED. most pools have solar heating. Ours has solar heating and we are in by oct !!! The kids venture in in Sept some years !!!!

last year was a poor effort of a summer so we didn't get in till Dec !!!
