Sea n Vines - McLaren Vale 12 & 13 June 2011

It's Sea n Vines this long weekend Sunday and Monday in McLaren Vale. http://www.mclarenvale.info/banksaseaandvines

If you haven't booked any tickets and fancy going, the normal wineries are still open for business and have their own events happening. Ekhidna Winery on Kangarilla Road, McLaren Vale has a band on. There is a new boutique winery called Mandelli's and they are putting on a band too.

Just popped into Mandelli's to see how their preparations are going for the weekend. They are on Chalk Hill Road. It's run by a couple of English ladies and they are doing food such as Devonshire teas, curries and some gourmet sausages. No tickets required, free entry! They also have paintings on sale from local artists. If you can't make it this weekend, make it one of the places to visit when you next visit the Vale. You won't be disappointed.

Also today there is Kuipto continuous picnic, same sort of thing as Sea and Vines but you don't have to book.

The following 4 wineries are hosting this -

Magpie Springs, Lazy Ballerina, Brackenwood Vineyard & K1 by Geoff Hardy

just google it or put in K1 on facebook for the details.

We are going

Is there anywhere with a roaring log fire serving hot mulled wine and roasted chestnuts??

I don't know about the roasted chestnuts but straight away Maxwell Winery came to mind, they have a roaring log fire and have spiced and honey mead available.
