Hi All!

I am sure this has been asked before but -

We have just landed in Adelaide:D and have just about rented a house:D, now all we need is furniture & some white goods:err:.......

Could anyone let us know where to buy furniture either second hand or new with HP?

Will any shops do HP if you are on a 176, with a job? -we got told we had to be here for 12 months.

Or has anyone got a sofa, washing machine, microwave, out door furniture they want to sell?

Thanks

Antonia

Don't worry. There are lots of places here that will accommodate your needs at very reasonable cost.As said Radio Rentals are superb short term, though they do request references with proof,so if you know anyone who will provide these here you will be OK.Also there are loads of budget furniture shops here,as well as second hand shops,Gumtree,Newspaper adverts,OP Shops and Boot sales. The survival instinct soon kicks in when needed. It really wont be a problem IMO.Best Luck .:D

We found Ikea very useful. We brought 3 of everything when we arrived, (plates, dishes, mugs etc we now use them for camping) Their is a Haggle at Parafield off main north road, which has a clearance centre, behind Bunnings, not sure what its like, might be able to get some bargins their, also think their is a clearance place at port adelaide for white goods. Happy hunting
