We were down at Silver Sands today and a plane flew over then 10 mins later 2 police cars came onto beach and said a 3m shark had been spotted 100m off shore. We didnt go back in the water after that LOL

Aww, they just babies. You wanna see the sharks we see ..... 1m shark, you get bigger flake fillets in the Port Mac chippy!

We were at West Beach from 9.30 am this morning until 2pm. The beach was fairly busy (as Adelaide beaches go). Both myself my husband and kids and plently of other families were swimming. My husband, in particular, swam up and dowm the beach several times as he is training for his bronze award. Perhaps we all have had a very luck escape!

I took our four kids to Moana but nearly went to Silver Sands at that time, hope the shark was not moving close by...

Just heard that a commercial abalone diver had to hide under a reef ledge on Tuesday whilst a 5m Great White eyeballed him. I was out in my boat nearby at the same time, my boat is smaller than the shark! Don't worry too much in the city though, unless you're coming to Port Mac over the holiday. Lisa was planning on surfing there today but I managed to catch up with her and stop her
