$1.8 BILLION and lives lost to create this expensive sea destroying monster - then it is going to be mothballed.

Wow! We save $100 in water charges:realmad:

Pollies put $100 bribe in pockets after wasting so much money??

Have a look at the article................

I thought they were talking about mothballing it in two years time? Who knows what will happen between now and then. We could be seriously grateful for it by then. Getting all up in arms about it now is a bit pointless really.

Yep I realise that but after people lost their lives RUSHING to finish the project for the pollies deadline it is a real slap in the face for those families left behind.

What if they DO mothball it?? Seems a strong possibility according to the report ,then it Will be a waste of money.

Welcome to SA :dull:

Same with the 'retractable floodlights' at the Adelaide Oval, all because some toffee noses in North Adelaide didn't want their view spoilt.

They didn't last more than a few years

As Alan Suger said "Looks good on paper, but then again so do fish and chips"
