Be careful what you buy and more importantly what you drink that claims to be alcohol.

Thanks Snifter. It's good to get the word out. I just can't fathom why anyone would do such a thing. Is it to dilute the product and save money or is it their intent to permanently disable or murder someone. I suppose the world is made up of different people - awareness of what is "out" there is important.

That it keeps on happening is what I can't get over. That they still make and sell the stuff and more worryingly that so many tourists are unaware and buy the booze and end up seriously ill (as in lifelong health problems caused from it) or die. Its been a lot of people now being killed drinking their dodgy alcohol. And as its almost impossible to know which places are selling it, the best thing to do is exercise real caution and drink well known brands of beer or some such and avoid cocktails and spirits.

 

Personally I'd never touch a drop of booze over there but that is easier for me and to say and stick to as I only drink about 2 glasses of wine a year!
