Temps, lightning and fires

Quite a few fires around the state this evening with all the lightning strikes (apparently, in a short period of time this afternoon there were 13,000 strikes). A fair bit of smoke on the freeway on my way home tonight, and the CFS site currently lists 36 on-going incidents ... from more than 200. They're having a busy day ...

 

Let's hope any damage is kept to a minimum during the heatwave ...

Plenty of noise at Mount Barker but not much visible lightning, and not much rain either but it did drop the temp to a slightly more comfortable level for a while. The radar showed the storm band to be quite widespread.

Gotta love going from an air conditioned house to and air conditioned car to and air conditioned office and then back again in the evening. Don't reckon I've felt warmer than 20 degrees all day. Just the way I like it.

I was out in it all day. We had a fair old storm come through. Lots of thunder and lightning, heavy rain and strong winds. Five minutes after the half hour storm it was back to sunny again lol.
