Building Approvals up for eighteenth consecutive month.

[img2=right]http://www.pomsinadelaide.com/images/house-being-built.jpg[/img2]The Australian Bureau of Statistics released it's latest figures for Building Approvals across Australia today (for Dec 2013).

 

The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia rose 3.5% in December and has risen for 18 months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 3.3% in December and has risen for 11 months.

It does seem to be boom time at the moment in the housing sector. Did the end of the Housing Construction Grant at the end of the year have any impact? Not sure. (http://www.revenuesa.sa.gov.au/grants-and-concessions/housing-construction-grant)

 

Investment properties are certainly the 'in thing' anyhow.
