I know this might be slightly off topic, but do children play out on the streets in Adelaide. I'm asking because in UK most parents wouldnt dream of letting there children out of the back garden or even house.
My youngest son is 6 and he plays on the street. We live on a quiet street and there are about 8 children ranging from 4 - 8 years who every day play out. They ride there bikes on the path and dress up and play mums and dads, army, police etc. I do stand in the porch watching him and all the other parents watch so there is eyes on them at all times.
My eldest son who is 11 is allowed further afield. He does have a mobile phone so I can contact him and also if he needs us.
I think it is good because it gives children independance.
Does this happen in Adelaide suburbs?
