Pets now allowed at Bunnings!

It's very odd, for a start, my dog would want to pee on everything and then there is the whole poop issue. Also, I dread taking my children to the place already - why would I want to take a dog as well and create even more stress? The best Bunning's trip are the ones where it's just me and a list.

The camel video is very funny though!

Yes Blossom that is what happened to us yesterday...went to West Beach for a walk with my husband and my little Tenterfield dog Lily and my husband decided that he wanted to pop into Bunnings. Too hot for both of us to stay in the car so I went into the entrance area where I waited for a few minutes until a kind gentleman said that I could enter with my dog!!! My husband was surprised to see me with Lily and everyone made a fuss of her!

My dog (before she passed away) was well socialised and happy in any situation. We used to take her to firework displays, carrying her incase of sparklers and she loved watching the fireworks. She went on numerous boating trips. Punting on the Cam, on a boat to see the seals at Blakney Point.

When she was a puppy we took her everywhere to get her used to everything. I'm talking going to a train station for an hour to hear and see the trains. Going to a building site, music festivals (where she was very popular) etc. And it certainly worked.

I am sure your dog was lovely. I guess my worry is not the dogs, it's the owners. I wouldn't take my boy into Bunnings - I know he'd hate it, he's a rescue dog and doesn't like loud noises as it is, plus I am a massive grump in the place anyway so the combination would be just a recipe for disaster. But you won't get the same level of care from every owner as you and I. You would obviously pick up after your dog, many wouldn't and it's bad enough in public places, let alone in a store where people are wandering around with hardware items.
