Sorry hope this isnt too boring! Not much more now!!

Other Stuff

New cars and work vehicles seem cheaper than the U.K and certainly the work vehicles (utes) were much cheaper than they would be here. Second hand vehicles however really hold there value and we laughed on numerous occasions at the bags of nails for sale at the car brokers as the prices were crazily dear!!

Furniture seemed to be about the same as here but garden furniture seemed better quality. The advice given to us by people we met was take everything with you thats still decent as it will take a huge chunk of your savings to set up again when you arrive. But if you do go to buy new stuff barter, barter, barter!!! They will generally concede!

Spiders were not lurking around every corner and after looking really hard for the fortnight we didnt see anything even close to spectacular!!! Quite disappointing really!

Negative Stuff.

Well there were things that were less than perfect. We found Graffitti to be the public order offence of choice! It was really noticable and wasnt restricted to certain areas. Also the tyre marks on the roads where the hoons have been re-enacting the world rally championships was quite scary!! We did hear cars speeding around the place but only at night and never felt threatened by it. Safety wise we walked a lot at night and never saw any bother or anything worrying im pleased to report! It does happen of course and while we were there a post office was held up with a knife! (not a sawn off shotgun as it would be here!)

We met some fantastic PIA ers whilst on our trip who made it really productive. We couldnt have gained the info we did without them and we owe you all a barbie when we arrive. Thankyou all so much!

So do we like it enough to move- Dead right we do! Our children will have a fantastic start to their lives and the opportunities will be endless. The beaches are beautiful, the people friendly and relaxed (vertical really!) And what a fab holiday destination for our families when they visit. We now plan to save as much as we can to give ourselves the best possible start and aim to be out there in 2 years.

ADELAIDE- MISSING YOU ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:):notworthy::)

Hope this helps someone out there as i have been helped and thanks for taking the time to read.

Hi Yvonne,

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this. It's not at all boring, and has answered some of my questions! We are not able to afford a reccie ourselevs, so hearing about other people's experiences is fantastic.

Good luck with your visa application!
