Renting furniture??

Hi everyone

 

We have just arrnaged our shipping - so are facing the prospect of living out of just a case for 8-12 weeks while it arrives.

We have rented a furnished apartment for 4 weeks - while we try and find a long term unfurnished rental.

In terms of large furniture items we are shipping our bed, mattress and dining room tabel and chairs. Does anyone know of any furniture rental places? If so I was thinking maybe of renting a bed and table and chairs while we wait for ours to arrive?

 

If anyone knows of any rental places - please let me know.

PABS rental on Magill road, sorry don't know if they have a webby, but if you look in the yellow pages on the telstra website you can search for it there. We hired a bed for hubby's parents and it was clean and in good condition.

 

Or you can do what my mum did in saudi, convert crates into just about anything( my first cot was an orange crate!). buy a large TV and there's a large box - might do as a coffee table. In fact buy anything these days and you end up with multiplying cardboard boxes of varying sizes.

I think Casual Living do furniture rental too - pretty sure I've seen their ads saying so anyway! On the other hand, if you think you might try your hand at camping down the line, why not buy some good camping equipment and use that in the meantime? Lots of people buy garden furniture to use as well, then just move it outside when theyir inside stuff arrives.

 

Or ask on here or the other forums - people generally have stuff they can lend!

Thanks for the replies - I think we will definitely get some garden furniture and give those rental places a try.
