House been on the market for 5 months, not a dicky bird until sunday...:arghh:

First viewer booked, clean, never had the house so spotless, kids couldn't eat or take any toys out, poor things!!!:biglaugh: She seemed to really like it but y:jiggy:ou can never tell...

Got home from work to-day message on answer phone, she seeing her mortage adviser and except an offer by the end of the week.... I know i shouldn't get excited, i know it could still end in nothing, but i can't help it. If i could sell it would mean my dreams a step closer....

so please all you lovely people keep your fingers crossed and i let you know

Thanks

All the very best luck, be open to offers, decide the lowest you can go, our buyers are getting a fantastic deal!! But we can't dwell on that, we just have to go with the money we will get and not think about what we could have had.

Good luck.

We had an offer 15k under our price, which we had already dropped by 15 already!

Didnt accept, they went up 2k then 3 (final offer)then we had an offer from a friend matching this offer, decided to cut our losses and accept, from our friend. The other people then went up another 7k!!They even put a note through our door to talk about it away from estate agents. They were too cool at the 2nd viewing, gave no nice comments at all, I think they may be regretting it now! But we decided to go with our friend. The sale is now going through!!

Just decide your lowest price, really think hard,we have dropped £25,000 but it means we are on our way, and we will just be happy with what we have, in the next few months it could have been a lot less, or more, who knows we never will, we will be elsewhere!! By the way the estate agent has just gone bust!!

Thanks both, we still cant quite believe it!

It seems so ridiculous that you wait so long for the visa, nener knowing til the end if you will get it, ready to go, then cant sell the house, its so frustrating and out of your control.

Dear Happyfeet and anyone selling.

Buyers are coming in at very low offers, (our house was on the market 2 weeks, when we had an offer from an investor, who let us down on the viewing twice, and then offered £30k less!!)mostly to try their luck, but also incase the property market does drop again, I can understand that, but I do feel they come in way below their limit and if they put an offer in at this time they must be serious about buying and love the property, so if you dont accept first offer or second offer, dont panic about losing the buyer.I'm sure they want your house. You can come to an agreement.(Although they will probably say they are putting in other offers aswell. When you bought your homes did you put in offers for more than one house at the same time???!We didnt) We also told the estate agent that we were not desparate to sell and we would rent out if needed, the EA want the sales too! Aslong as you dont expect too much you are in charge.

Good luck and hope this helps.

"How to i prove i had chicken poxs as a child??? "

Your GP should be able to write you a letter that you can forward on stating you have natural immunity due to contracting chicken pox when you were a child. Failing that, a simple blood test will confirm you have the anti-bodies.

Re proving that you had chicken pox. It may be possible to have titres measured (blood test) you could ask your GP if this is possible. They should be able to find out. It may cost you a private fee though for the test.

Not sure if this will help but worth asking anyway. Goodluck.
