We have just bought our first home here.

I want to share our Good News with everyone, we have just moved into our own home here in Adelaide. We emmigrated out here on 14th Feb 08. We have bought a lovely house in Happy Valley and we are feeling very settled now. We live in a quiet street, (not for long with my two children LOL) which backs onto a Reserve and our neighbours tell us there are Koala's living there which is really exciting for Brandon and Nicole. It was only something they could dream about before, now they think it is really cool:cool:. Nicole can now go horse riding at the Stables just down the road which is very handy. All our neighbours are nice and friendly even offering to let us use their lawn mower until we buy one. So all in all we are feeling very pleased with ourselves.

So far so good, Adelaide is proving to be a good choice for us, there are so many nice and friendly people here, many of whom we have met from PIA, so thank you all for making us feel very welcome:notworthy:. And the sun has started to shine so roll on Summer.

Great having your very own "haven" away from everything. sounds like you have picked a good area. If you get a lawn mower feel free to come and cut ours if you are bored!!

oooh and you can come and cut my lawns too our lawn mower has decided it's a piece of garden sculpture despite its $100 pampering and makeover last year! It's a wonderful feeling being in your own house, a sense of achievement and settlement. (However this can also be achieved in a nice rental)

Congrats on finding your new home. My brother-in-law and his family live in Happy Valley, where that reserve is, and they love their new live 'down under'.
