We put our For Sale sign up on Saturday morning (decided to try and sell it ourselves for a couple of weeks to see if there was much interest). Someone knocked on door to ask for a schedule. One phone call today for email schedule and another to arrange a viewing (didn't even ask the price!). They came tonight and seem interested but who knows.

PS - how stressful is it getting house ready for viewing

It is what we did a couple of years ago (appreciate market conditions have changed) one advert in the local press (68 pounds) and bingo.

In todays difficult market it sounds as if you have as much of a chance of selling as an agent and saving yourselves thousands in fees in the process, wishing you all the best of luck,

Thanks. It will cost us £3000+ to sell with estate agent - that's our flights over! If we are lucky enough to find a buyer....yahoo!
