Vaccination for children

Hello, just wondering what vaccinations does Austrialian children get and at what age, there are new vaccinations that have just come out in England for twelve year old girls the HPV. Does anyone know if this one is availiable in the Australian health system, also do we as parents have to chase for vaccine's for our children or are we sent information via school or post when they are at appropriate age. Last question on this subject is there a phone number or website to see information on this subject.

You should be able to get it from your local council on vaccination days, it is free the HPV as are all vaccines done through your local council. The gov has been running a programme now for 2 years to catch all the girls in the age range before they leave school. There is also a catch up available for womwn up to 26. Usually those vaccinations due in early teens like Adult dpt are given at school. Anyways here is the schedule
