Kids sandpits and spiders.

We have 3 young boys and it seems like most of our container is going to be filled with outdoor toys. Shal i bring the sandpit? We also have 2 plastic outdoor storage boxes that we keep the kids bikes in. Do you think they will atract spiders. If so how do you store outdoor stuff.

I have never had a problem with spiders but recently i read a thread on here about you finding them all over the place and it has really worried me. I am freaking out about the kids playing out in the garden.

I had the same worry when we were packing to come here and left behind all of our outside toys. Really wish we hadn't as you soon get over yourself regarding spiders and kids and outside toys and they are expensive to replace. I would say, if you have room in the container, bring it all - if you don't use it, sell it once you are here.

Good luck

Ok i will pack as many out door toys as pos. The whole idea of going to Oz is to get the kids outside more.

What about the storage boxes ? Can i spray them to keep the spiders out?

id definetly bring it all, i just check under stuff if ive left it out overnight , you soon get in the habit lol
And then you will soon get in the habit of not looking:biglaugh:.

I did, I used to look under garden chairs before sitting down, now I leave my shoes outside the door and not even look before I put my feet in them, dont spray round the house in or out anymore.

There is really nothing to worry about there are so few things you see here and those you do dont want to make contact with you any way.

I doubt any spider would be brave enough:biglaugh:,

Just be sure to check out any toys that have not been used in a while check for signs of webs, I hate spiders killed so many yet never been bit, there's only 2 spiders here that worry me Red Backs and White Tailed spiders the ones that freak people out are the huntsman (size of your hand) but can't kill it's the little spiders you worry about here.
